Educational Teacher/Student Bands

      These groups are combinations of students and teachers to help students learn what it's like to function successfully in a band.  Our teacher/student bands actively perform in the community at restaurants, clubs, festivals, charitable events and more.  Evaluation is required before placement but we encourage anyone interested in joining us to check it out!

 

If you join an educational rock band you will learn how to...

  • Play your instrument within a small group setting

  • Adapt to others' playing styles and abilities

  • Take direction from the band leaders, as well as your band mates

  • Understand timing and take cues

  • Play rock n roll, as well as other genres of music

  • Prepare for gigs (planning, promoting, set up)

  • Perform in front of an audience
